On Sunday 8th March, Women across the world were celebrated with International Women’s Dayt – a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women’s Day is a national holiday.
At Hartley Healy, celebrating the success and achievements of women is incredibly important to us, we have 7 female solicitors, making up the majority of our team. We are very proud to have some of the best and brightest female family law solicitors in Australia, 3 of whom are Accredited Family Law Specialists with proven track records of achieving outstanding results in some of the most complicated family law cases.
Our 3 Senior Associates – Beata Leszczuk, Debra Effeney and Tarah Tosh, went to the AIM International Women’s Day Debate in Brisbane on Friday 6th March at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
The topic of the debate was ‘Do Women Need to Make Hard Choices to Get Ahead?’ The speakers were exceptionally talented, intelligent and ambitious women who were very inspiring and in some instances gave very personal and touching stories. Everyone who went had an amazing time and walked away feeling inspired and motivated.
